For Sadie's final writing competition of 2022 she wanted to inspire you to have a little fun, mischievous fun that is. One of the definitions of mischief is: irresponsibly playful. How can you use this in a short story that inspires your readers to care, to want to know more?
Writing MISCHIEF is a 500 word short story contest. The story can be fiction or non-fiction as long as it includes an element of mischief. As usual, it does not need to be about mischief, it just needs to have an element of it somewhere in the story.

When
Sadie Tells Stories will be accepting submissions for the Writing MISCHIEF Short Story Competition from September 15th 2022 until 11:59pm PST on November 15th 2022. The winners will be notified by December 20th 2022.

The Rules
All decisions are final!
All payments are final and nonrefundable. All payments will be made via PayPal.
To be eligible, entries must be under 500 words and include an element of mischief. Stories can be either fiction or non-fiction They must be submitted on or before November 15th 2022 at 11:59pm PST and the entrant must have paid the $10 USD submission fee prior to submitting.
Entrants can submit as many times as they like, but the fee of $10 must be paid with each new submission.
All entries must be submitted using the online form. If you need some help, please don’t hesitate to email or call Sadie. She can help you get your story submitted!
There are 2 cash prizes: $500 USD for the winner and $150 USD for the runner up. There is a third prize of $50 for the one person who refers the first prize winner. The referral must be stated at the time of submission.
When you submit you are automatically added to receive the Sadie Tells Stories newsletter. You can unsubscribe anytime, but you might want to stay on it until the contest results have been shared.
Sadie Tells Stories reserves the right to cancel this contest at anytime. Upon cancellation all submission fees will be returned.
